Ocean Heights is a famous supertall skyscraper located in a district in the heart of what has become known as “new Dubai” (Dubai Marina) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The construction process of the building started in 2007. It was then topped-out in December 2009 and eventually finalized and inaugurated the next year. The design and construction plans were the responsibility of American architect Andrew Bromberg of the Aedas international architectural company, while the main structural engineer was Meinhardt. With a total hight of 310 metres, 83 floors and a floor area of approximately 789,274 m2, the tower is at present the fourth tallest residential building in the world, and third tallest residential building in Dubai, surpassed only by the Dubai Torch and HHHR Tower.
The final version of Ocean Heights si in fact very different from the original plans which were the initial project of the developer. At the beginning it was suppose to have 38 floors, the second version had 50 floors, eventually adding up to the final 83, which house more than 519 condominiums with one, two or three bedrooms, all perfectly located at the entrance of Dubai Marina. It is an architectural masterpiece which goes unmatched in terms of design and luxury, offering a lifestyle of elegance that is difficult to be found somewhere else.
